Its tranquil setting, surrounded by woods and hazel at the feet of the Sierra del Cuera (in the foothills of the Picos de Europa) offers the ideal scenery to enjoy nature and relax, although the surroundings also offer a variety of activities and sports, including an 18 holes golf course at only 5 km distance. Come winter or summer, the environment and surroundings have a lot to offer, sightseeing, active tourism, sports and gastronomy. This makes this hotel the ideal place to enjoy an unforgettable weekend, or a holiday surrounded by nature, far from the madding crowd and civilization, but them again, not too far. Its particular and totally integrated architecture, based on stone and wood, gives it a unique style combining new sustainable technologies with traditional know-how, which is so typical in this area. Built in 2009, it has been inspired by the Asturian quintanas so typical in this area (a central building and several surrounding buildings forming a pentagon). This hotel has been equipped with clean technologies, with an own water treatment installation, low consumption radiant heating foil and solar panels for the supply hot water. Sustainability is also reflected in the separation of waste, the conservation of the natural environment and recycling certain materials without affecting the slightest detail and level of service and comfort.
